Visit to Marchmont House
Wednesday 20 June 2018

Marchmont House by Greenlaw in Berwickshire is described by Roger White in Country Life as “a fine historic house that had long since been sold out of the original family and become rundown in institutional use has been restored structurally and decoratively to the highest standards”.  A mixture of pure Georgian and pure Lorimer, the house was built in 1750 for the 3rd Earl of Marchmont as a Palladian mansion.
